I just got this cd, and so far its my favorite for Dennis Chambers' albums that he's been on. He lays the groove really well on this way, just stayin in the pocket. Only other CD i've heard of his is Extraction though..can someone name other cd's he is on?

What are you comments about Front Page or Extraction??

Have you heard any of the tracks he did with Mike Stern? That would be something worth checking out. I really dig his playing with him.

Check out NIACIN-Time Crunch or Deep with Dennis, Billy Sheehan and John Novello, some fabulous drum work and music..John Scofields-Pick Hits Live some great pocket playing and funky grooves to be heard..CAB 4 is another one I recently picked up, many signature chambers fills to be found on this CD...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Speaking of which, at the weekend I grabbed a torrent of Chambers with the Breckers and Stern, dating back to 1992. I have to say it's quite an eye-opener. Chambers definitely seemed more "into it" back then. I've only watched it once, but ... some tasteful playing and (fanfare) trad grip (sometimes). And the fastest version of Some Skunk Funk I ever did hear...

Tom Coster-Forbidden Zone and Let's Set the Record Straight have Dennis playing at his finest IMO along with the Scofield stuff.

im fed up with chambers all together now....i walked away at the namm performance. however, hes not a bad player, just a terrible soloist (been playing the same things for literally 20 yrs - its amazing) but he is GREAT in a band.

anyway, uncle moe's space ranch (not that heavy) is my best dennis CD along with front page.....

I'd recommend Bill Evans' "Petite Blonde", which is a live recording featuring Dennis, Vic Bailey and Mitchel Forman. It's really cool, and I remember reading that it's one of Dennis' favoutites as well.

Steeley Dan live is a pretty good one and his solo disc "Outbreak" is pretty cool, too. PT.

    Hi Guys,

My favorite with Dennis are :

    - "Let The Juice Loose" by Bill Evans
Darryl Jones is great on it, and DC just kill !!!

    - "Knee Deep" by Funkadelic.
All the Snoop Dog's groove come from there.

    - anything DC did with John Scofield.

    - "In The Shadow" by Bob Berg (RIP)

    - an All Star Band named Chroma with Jim Beard, Randy Brecker, Mark Egan, Mike Stern, Jon Herrington, Mark Ledford (RIP), Mino Cinelu, Bob Berg (RIP).
DC is grooving like a badass, and they an incredible "Upside Downside" (Mike Stern's song).

    Peace.
